Dang.
Part of the problem with writing for this fandom is that Sherlock Holmes solves mysteries. It's an intrinsic part of the character, so even when I just want to write melodrama, angst, and porn, his stupid spouse Work keeps butting in and giving me a hard time. I DO NOT WANT TO WRITE A CRIME, THANK YOU. NOT EVEN A SMALL ONE! SHERLOCK, GO HAVE SEX!

Seriously, even just a background crime can be really time consuming. I was moving along at a decent clip until BAM! Sucked into the Notorious Murders Index looking for an easily ganked premise that is simple enough that I don't have to go into it, but interesting enough that this fussy bastard would think it worth his time.
