(no subject)
So, I had a request from serenade_rose for some pics of Laertes. Since she usually nags me for jerkface Andres photos, this was a nice change. ;)
Poor Laertes! He hasn't had pictures in a while, and that was largely to me hating his wig. Well, I changed his wig a while back, but it still wasn't right. For one thing, his new wig is one of the newer Dollga ones, which, frankly, suck. The wig itself is too deep, and the fibers are thin and you can see the cap through them. I have to pull one edge of the wig down over Laertes' ear to get it to fit without a huge air bubble in the back of his head! D:
The thin wig fibers were also really annoying, but since the last time I took pics of Laertes in this new wig (which I think was also the only time, whoops) I'd done a bit of styling and cutting of the wig to make it look better. Made it shorter, cut some of the top fibers so they'd lay over the part where the wigcap showed through, and made it generally more photogenic. Today I put a few bobby pins in it to complete the look, and I'm a lot happier with it now. You can even tell there's a bit of pink in it!
I doubt anyone remembers, but the premise behind the wig change was that Laertes let his naughty little cousins, the twins, style his hair for him - bleaching it out to make it lighter, and adding a touch of pink as a highlight. His natural color is a dirtier blond. Lighter than his brother Leonidas' hair, but darker than his three cousins, Nomiki, Pallas, & Thales.

We started out inside, but the light wasn't as good as I would've liked.
So, we moved to my back stoop (where my camera lens promptly fogged up due to the extreme humidity outside) and Laertes flashed some more hipbone. Rawr! ;D

And just a closeup of the last shot. I was trying to decide between the two for a new profile pic for Laertes in my LJ profile.
One last pic inside! My two boys that I've pulled out of their boxes since my move. <3 They're on top of 10 Volks boxes stacked up! O:
I really need to make some new Laertes icons, hmm. I think I will do that right now. O: And then I will go read porn on my Kindle.
