Arts!
Ok, so I'm just gonna go ahead and post my pictures from the Met. There won't be a ton of commentary, it's mostly just photos of art - a few paintings, a couple crafty type things, and a lot of statues.
The outside of the museum. We went in the side entrance and avoided all those stairs! XD
This water spout thingy reminded me of the door knockers in Labyrinth. :B
This little cameo was tiny. I got my macro lens right up on the glass of the case it was in, and still ended up cropping some of the picture out, it was so small.
Also teeny were these little picks. The detail on the tiny things was really cool!
Sphinx.
Oedipus & the Sphinx. I saw this and immediately thought of Paprika, as it makes an appearance in that movie.
I didn't see who this was by. :B It was lovely, and across from us while we were waiting in line to get into the McQueen exhibit.

After we left the McQueen exhibit, we made our way into a sculpture garden. I had to take pics of Perseus with Medusa's head!
Most of the rest of the sculptures, I didn't even look to see who they were of, or by, or anything like that. I just tried to take decent pictures of the ones I liked. :B
I love how smug she looks. XD
Snakes! These were on the base of a fountain.
I believe this was also part of the snake-fountain. (Though my memory isn't the best. :B)
The detail of the bunched fabric looked better in person, alas. :<
Perseus had some cool sandals. ;D
