Goddamn, I'm such a slacker. :'U
Part 1, here Part 2, here Ok, it took me way too long to remember to post these, and they're not even that exciting. Whoops! These ones continue on from our water taxi ride back to downtown Nassau, so there are a lot of water shots, and it was getting dark at that time and was a little cloudy. Sorry, there aren't really anymore pretty tropical looking photos left! I do have a few more taken from a moving van on our way from the hotel to the airport, as well. So, on with the show, right?
Ok, so this was some cool little cabin thing just out in the middle of the water. It was easier to see in brighter daylight, but it had big glass windows and looked really awesome. I want to live there. XD
Yoga retreat! I dunno, it just seemed funny to me. :'B
Umm, boat. >_>;;
I was just taking a picture of that funny looking boat here, but apparently that house in the background belongs to some famous actor. I forget who, though.
Pretty sky!
Maybe that's a hotel? I don't know, I was just going camera happy at this point.
Moar sky.
Glass bottom boat! I wanna do that sometime. I know there are glass bottom boat rides around here at the springs and stuff, but I'm sure sharks in the Bahamas are way more interesting than alligators in Florida.
The dock where we landed.
There were a lot of people doing various street performing all over. I just felt like taking a picture of saxophone-man because I used to play saxophone myself in my younger days. *old lady*
Cruise ships! They are so huge. I've never been on a cruise before. O:
Haha, Greenpeace. I half expected them to raid the conch sellers for overfishing or something. :U
Street.
Street v.2.
Street v.3.
Oh look, a tropical looking photo afterall. I took this from the lobby balcony at the hotel after I checked out and was waiting for the bus to take us to the airport.
LAND SHARK. This was taken from inside the careening bus. I just thought the name was funny. /lame reason for photo like usual
Bye bye, pretty water!
Bye bye, my winter home!
I wanna live in a house that looks like a castle. :<
Just some huge houses I snapped a pic of from the vehicle.
Now this was a place I saw when we were coming to the hotel from the airport on the way in. It's so cool looking, and it's all open and empty inside. I wish I could've gone into it and taken pictures! And even better would've been dollie pictures! Of course, I didn't take any dollies with me, and this place was kinda far from the hotel, but still. Cool abandoned(?) building!
Doo-dads hanging from a tree. :B
And the Nassau airport. Slow. As. Fuck. All the flights out were delayed. It's so hot and small in there and it was packed and the bathroom line was always about 20 people long. Not my fondest memories of the Bahamas. :[
Well, besides the annoying airport, and lack of extra time to do everything, it was a fun trip overall! I wouldn't mind going back, though I'd rather be there when the water's a little warmer. Yes, I'm a wuss. :< But if/when I ever go back, you can be sure I'm gonna snorkel! O:
Damn, it's only 930am? I thought I'd have wasted more time than that writing this entry. Guess I'll have to start actually doing work now, or something. T_T Bye bye!
