So, I got my first two "trial run" rolls of 120 film taken with my Holga back today! ...And it cost FORTY FREAKING DOLLARS! Yeah, I'm going to Walmart next time. :x

Anyways, I got some cool looking lo-fi pics. XD; My camera doesn't seem to focus more than about 6 feet in front of it. Heehee! It was still exciting taking pics with it. I did screw up the first roll by having the counter setting to 12 photos instead of 16, and the second roll inadvertently got screwed up when the foam padding from inside the camera came undone and got itself wound into the film. Yeah, I dunno how that happened, but oh well! It did, and there's nothing I can do about it. :B

So, yeah. Here is a selection of my first ever photos taken with my purple Holga 120N plastic camera. :)

Oh look, the sky. And some leaves. XD

I know the camera will focus where it wants, but I was surprised it chose that scrawny fence! O:

This is aeryn_aerie's front yard. XD

The flag at my work. I was standing at the bus stop when I took this. ^^;

There's a man on the roof! O: (Hint: not really)

This one is actually upside down! The photo place oriented it this way, and I didn't want to change it. XD

Out back of my work.

Cool little area that I've taken dollie pics in before.

Walking to work~

I'm honestly not sure what the proper orientation for this photo should be, but it looked cool enough. XB

And again in that cool little area. This was my favorite of the photos!

Well, besides my shock and outrage at the cost of getting this film developed, it was still a fun experiment. :) I'll still be taking my Holga to NYC for some street photography! I might change it to square format, though. Oh yeah, and I got an adaptor for 35mm film, and I'll try to take that so that I get the full roll exposed, and end up with photos with the holes in them from them film. XD;

photos, holga
