(no subject)
So, about 13 months ago on March 6, 2008, I received an SD17 Alain in the mail. I had run a split for him, and was keeping the body. After his various fullet parts were sent off, I began to take some photos of the body with Sy on it, but not facing the camera, so it looked like I had an SD17 boy at home. Everyone on my flist knew that I'd been pining for a Reisner ever since the first Dolpa 17 teaser photos came out, and I'd been talking about my "future Reisner" who would be Ichi's bodyguard and love interest.
What I didn't tell anyone at the time was that I'd won an auction on Yahoo!Japan a few months earlier for the most gorgeous Reisner head ever. Probably my favorite big-name faceup artist, Robin's Egg, had listed a modded & repainted Reisner on Y!J towards the end of 2007. I was smitten, as I'd always said I'd practically kill for a Reisner painted by her, and did everything I could to throw as much money as possible into my SMJ account for bidding limit.
When the end of his auction rolled around, and it kept being extended by someone attempting to outbid me, I hid under my blankets to avoid seeing what was happening, not because of the pain the ever increasing high bid was causing my bank account, but because I didn't want to see if I lost, as I'd bid my absolute maximum bid limit and I knew there would be nothing I could do if I was outbid besides be emo.
Well, I did win. Just barely by a hair, but I won. Such excitement! Though admittedley, he cost so much that it took me quite a while to pay him off completely, but after I did, I received that head home, on March 21, 2008. That's when I finally got to show off that "future Reisner" I'd been talking about so much, and Ichi got his Fall home. X3
This boy is beautiful. His faceup is truly stunning. I love the mods that were done to him. Sometimes I have to just stare at him, he's so gorgeous. And I'm so glad he's mine. ♥
Happy (late) one year, Fall! :D
Not too many photos, but still plenty of pretty. ;) I gave up taking pics when I was posing the two boys for a slightly different shot than that last one, and they started to both fall over, and I tossed my camera on the floor to catch them. :B Yup, that's when it was time to put them back in the chair they'd been canoodling in. XD; Oh, boys. ♥
