Lestat sings on Broadway next April.
The Elton John-Bernie Taupin musical featuring novelist Anne Rice's seductive vampire hero will open on Broadway April 13 (Anne's insert: note, the thirteenth of April, 2006 is indeed a friday.) at the Palace THeatre.
Hugh Panero, Broadway's most recent "Phantom of the Opera", will portray the title character in the show, which has music by John, lyrics by Taupin, and book by Linda Woolverton. -The Associated Press

What a great, bloody day. Oh yeah, we sang on the subway on our way back from the Opera Atelier workshop, and the conductor of the train wanted our autograph ^_^. AAAAND i got tickets to see ARMIDE!!!!! .... where a sexy opera singer stars too. super squee, man!
