Easter
Let's see... what has happened since last time I wrote in this thing...
Well...
We've been biking regularly (We being Me, Cody, Brett, Nick, Danny, Stephen, Brandon, and Blake... actually Blake just stands in the way and pretends he's a goblin and hits people with sticks.) I ate the crap finally... my knee's all banged up and swollen.
On Thursday I went to the Nickel Creek show at UCSD or something like that, it was AWESOME! I was like 5 feet from the stage and they were way good. I had a good time.
Friday... oh... wow... Friday... First we bike jumped until late afternoon... then we took a break to get cleaned up. We next went down to Brett's house to hang out for his semi-birthday. We were chillin' and then me and Cody and Alvin started making up freestyle emo songs. Bree thought we were singing about her and she left (lyrics included: "You ripped my heart out" "My heart is six feet under" "I am the invisible man" and various other stereotypical yet heartrenching emo lyrics.) Then we watched Identity Theft (kinda corny) and J + J came over, and then Jules came over. We finished, and were kinda bored, so we went _________ (fill in the blank) ...that's right, doorbell ditching! We were runnin around, hittin up various houses and laughing and whatnot. Then... (we were causing quite a ruckus... ghetto knock = ringing doorbell then kicking the door with the back of your shoe as you run away) we saw this guy standing in his front window with his hands on hips staring at us (approximate time: 1:00) so... Josh (what a wildman) decides that he's gunna doorbell ditch this guy. We keep walking, and the guy takes about 5 steps away from the window (which is about a yard from his fron door and... DING DONG! We all scatter and jump into various bushes. About 30 seconds later (the guy didn't react or anything) I stick my head up and see Chace walking twords me in the middle of the street. All of a sudden I hear the roar of an engine starting and watch Chace as he looks about like a deer in the headlights, as he runs first this way then that, until he finally decides to run to the other side of the road while screaming "HE'S COMING! HE'S COMING!" I throw myself back into the bush. I then see this huge white panel van (the child abducter kind) zoom past my hiding place. Then a moment of silence (I later find out he is chacing Alvin and Stephen on their bikes) and then he speeds by again. Now... Micah had dropped us of before in his truck and I THOUGHT he went back to Brett's house. Then, I see Micah's truck fly by, with the van about 5 feet behind him. I am scared to death by this time as is imaginable. I see nor hear any sign of the crazy guy (I later find out he is an old guy in a wife beater) so me and Chace, who was by this time hiding right next to me, make a run for it twords some other bushes. Then, VROOM the guy screetches around a corner not far enough down the road. We vault into these other bushes and the guy parks. Finally we meet up with everyone else and, paranoid, make our way back to Brett's house. We get back to the house and relate our individual stories (this is just mine) and a the night is still young, we decide to _______ ...that's right, doorbell ditch the same guy who had just been chacing after us for half an hour! As this is a very dangerous mission, only four people were selected to go (Me, Alvin, Josh, and Chace.) Micah drops us off a ways away (as the guy knows his truck) and we slowly make our way twords the guy's house, thinking every car we see is his van. We are almost there when we see headlights heading our direction. By this time we are pretty tired of jumping in bushes, so we just kind of crouch down on the side of the road. ALL OF A SUDDEN, JOSH YELLS "THAT'S A COP!" We run as fast as we can into the nearest yard and burrow way back into some bushes. The cop (as it definitely WAS a cop) passes by way too slow for comfort. We stay in there huddled for what seemed like an hour until the cop went back the way it came (as far as we know it went to the guys house, who had presumably called the cops.) We now call for help and sit there scared to death until Cody comes and rescues us (we all jump into the bed of his moving truck.) When we get back we decide that we had probably had enough excitement for one night, and go inside. We watched "Duplex" (Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore.) It was kinda funny. Then we went to sleep and all that boring stuff.
