This is our country

A week after my last post, the Governor of Texas mentioned the word "secession" at a Tea Party. My two LJ readers can attest to my political prophetic prowess.

I am deeply worried about the future of my country.

The banks are being nationalized.

Health care is about to be nationalized.

We might have laid a mortal wound on our CIA.

This guy hasn't even hit the 100 day mark!

So what happens in a socialist country.

1. Religious persecution.
2. Gov't regulation of the details of your life (if they control your health care, they control the dangers you put yourself in. "Put down the cheeseburger.")
3. No social or economic fluidity. I think the standard term is "shared misery." That means the "American Dream" is dead. You can't improve your position through hard work.

If America becomes a socialist nation (and it appears that almost half of the country stupidly desires to be), then we've failed. The whole point of our founding will be lost.
