Leaving Rivendell

Barrett's wedding last weekend was good. I served my fifth tour of duty as a Groomsman. Of the original 4 undergrad roommates, it's down to Greg and me. Notable: I was the reluctant recipient of the garter belt. I don't know what to do with it, so it's just sitting on my desk.

I might have been persuaded to give up (or pause, at least) looking for a house in Edmond, and look in Oklahoma City, instead. Cheap, older houses, that look awesome, in crappy school districts may prove superior to more expensive cookie-cutter houses, in awesome school districts. Or so the persuasive forces say. I got a lot of looking done this weekend, But I haven't bought one, yet. Maybe everything falling apart on me in March was part of some Grand Plan.

My office manager is doing a great job so far. Apparently, my dominance extends to the realm of hiring.

I was thinking about how fast things keep changing for me, from month to month. I think it might be time to start living in the moment a little more. Living, even month to month, is not possible. At least not for me. That might not be such a bad thing. It keeps me moving forward.

I should be sleeping. I'm listening to Rachmaninov, instead. Who doesn't love the Piano Concerto #3 in D Minor?
