i love my students

a student emailed me to explain what on earth could be more important than coming to class and learning about the wonders of mitosis and meiosis:

"Dear Mrs. Evans-Smith,

I will not be attending class today because I have a quest in town."

it took me a full 30 minutes to realize that she meant 'guest' and not 'quest.' during those 30 minutes i was very happy.
