I'm home! Actually, I got back yesterday late afternoon, but by the time I had unpacked and cuddled the cat and caught up with everything you lot have written while I was away, I was absolutely knackered and had to go to bed. (The hotel did have WiFi, but it wasn't included in the price, and I was too stingy to fork out the fee.)
Rosa was very relaxed about me being back home. She just came slowly ambling past me into the kitchen, as she always does when I come home from school or shopping or whatever. My neighbours said she'd been easy to please and had come voluntarily and lain down next to them in order to get cuddles. She's acting as if she didn't notice that I was away. I don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed, haha.
Maybe I just got good replacement staff.
The trip went well, and it was nice to meet up with
snowgrouse in the flesh, and to see Mr. Simm play Hamlet. I actually preferred this version of the Danish Prince to Tennant's. We were really lucky with the weather -- it was warm and sunny, far too warm for the clothes I had brought, which were more suited to the temperatures back home. I had to leave my coat in the hotel room during the afternoon we spent in Sheffield, and picked it up before we went to the theatre. We had far too little time for anything else, though.
I'm still to tired to write up any coherent reactions to the performance. Maybe in a day or two, if I haven't forgotten by then. :)
