Visit
My aunt was just here. She called yesterday evening which was good since I had completely forgotten about the whole thing, haha. She went to Malmö for a wedding party this past weekend, and she called me months ago to ask if she could come to Lund and visit me while she was here. It's a sign of how uneventful my life is that I didn't even check my calendar to see if I had anything going on -- I was positive I had nothing. *eyeroll*
Anyway, I bought some strawberries on the way and picked her up at the station at 13.40, and we walked back to my place in the stifling heat, and talked, and drank lots of water, and then I cooked her a Thai casserole with salmon and prawns, and then we ate strawberries and cream, and then I walked her to the bus stop. It was nice; she's one of the few relatives on that side of the family that I actually feel at ease with.
I had to hoover the flat first, since she's allergic to cats, and had to take a shower afterwards, even though I had stripped down to my underwear. O.o The thunderstorm last night apparently did nothing to shift the heatwave. It's just as hot now as it was before.
