Aww, how wonderful! Again, congratulations! I'm sure she'll love it at your place, and believe me, a cat does wonders to turn an apartment into a home.
While I was fixing something to eat, she came and started rubbing against my legs. I showed her the bowl of food. Nope. I offered her a piece of chicken-and-fish treat. Nope. And then she walked out of the kitchen, stopped, turned around, and looked at me. And then I realised what she was trying to tell me. "NO EATINZ. STOMAK TIEM." ;)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. OMG. This is so fantastic! That is definitely something to make you tear up. She sleeps on your tummy on your first day! That is just so excellent:D. *bounce* I'm so happy for you two.
And woo, brushing! The moment I looked at that pic I went "ayup, brushing time" (not that she looks messy, but it's just that sort of pointiness in the fur that tells me it's the time to brush Noki:)). Do you have a regular brush to go with the Furminator? I've found that's a good combo with Noki. I start with the regular one (which she loves) and then move on to the Furminator (which she's a bit less patient with, as it tends to tug her hair a bit painfully, it seems). But then Lisa is a shorthair, so she probably has less easily knotting hair and the Furminator is probably less annoying:).
INORITE! N and Å hardly believed their eyes when they saw how relaxed and happy she was, after just five minutes.
The Furminator is the best thing! She seemed to like it except when I made it tug a bit too hard, and now I can pet her without getting big handfuls of hair. ^^
Eeeeeeee! That is really phenomenal, for any cat. It's amazing how chilled out and trusting she seems:). That's so fantastic. How old is she, again? I forget.
The Furminator rocks. I just groomed Noki today and it was about time; she hurked up a couple of huge hairballs this morning (what a sound and smell to wake up to...X-P) the Furminator reduces the frequencey of those things as well.
*yet more huggles* and we need to hook up tomorrow for Simminess. *squee* Omgomgomgomgomg. *and another dose of megahuggles*
She does walk around and say "Meow?" a bit, and she thinks I'm stupid not to have the RIGHT kind of food (the kind she's used to), but on the whole, this has gone far better (so far) than I dared hope. And I suppose she'll come round to the food when she gets hungry enough. ;)
