I splurged while in town today, and had 11 pcs salmon sashimi for combined lunch and dinner. Mmm, sashimi.
Also, there is a tiny, tiny tomato embryo on my tomato plant! And loads more flower buds.
Also, last week I found three very pretty white wire potholders with hooks on massive sale at Indiska (reduced price *and* two for the price of one on top of that), that worked quite well to hang on the trellis on my tiny balcony, so now I have some more plants there. I repotted the remains of a mint plant that I bought in the shop a couple of weeks back for cooking purposes, and I also bought a sage and a thyme plant, all of which have now joined the honeysuckle, the rosemary, the sickly laurel and the ivy on my balcony. I only lack the parsley to be a complete folk song of my own.
I wish I could find a nice plastic rug for the balcony floor. The only one I've seen in the right size was bright turquoise with orange borders, so, um, no.
I also had a nice evening with
pnr on Saturday, watching Mr. & Mrs. Smith together, which was funnier than I had expected it to be, and a nice outing to Brede Værk in Denmark on Sunday with
bracke,
nazgman, the Seamstress and S-C. There was a guide wearing a copy of
this dress (sans embroidery and train), who told the group that it was the height of Empire fashion, "like Jane Austen, you know", and got very nervous when we all started asking quite initiated questions about the gown, and I said that it must be a transitional style from the end of the 18th century (which turned out to be right, when we later saw the original gown in the exhibition - it's from 1797). :)
