Princess of Flies

There are flies everywhere. Big fat disgusting houseflies, being buzzily annoying. As soon as I manage to kill one, there is another (and yes, I KILL OTHER BEINGS BECAUSE THEY ANNOY ME). I don't have my windows open, and I've been very diligent about sealing up certain kinds of rubbish and getting rid of it frequently. So where do they come from? Did some late summer fly lay eggs somewhere in my flat and they are now hatching? The thought of their offspring crawling about somewhere makes my spine itch.

Also, there are those smaller cousins of theirs everywhere, either fruit flies (except I don't really have any fruit lying around) or the kind that lives in house plants. Or wherever. At least they don't buzz, which makes them vastly less annoying (and also vastly less disgusting). I only kill them when they are in my face, though.

Too bad all my attempts at keeping carnivorous plants have failed utterly. I ALSO KILL OTHER BEINGS BY INATTENTION.

I wish I had some nice spiders who could eat up all the nasty insects.
