no, seriously, DEATH

World Domination Status: ...so, if I manage to take over the world and become a great and powerfully awesome tyrant, does that mean I get to have a double made of me? I mean, Gilgamesh got one, so that means I get one too, right? I figure she can help with the Latin next year.

As Anne keeps saying whenever I talk to her - I'm going to die this quarter. Seriously. I only have three classes, and it's just 14 units, but my work ethic is such that it's... Well. Just Not Good. I'm behind on my reading for both English classes, behind on my translation for Latin, and honestly, I think I'm finally starting to experience senioritis. Just... too many years of school in a row, maybe? Though I technically had a year off in there, so I don't think that works.

Honestly, I think I'm just going to skip going to JAC tomorrow and stay home after work to translate Latin and study for Friday's quiz. And write the short response paper for Shakespeare that's due in section. Which means actually reading 'Othello' instead of just listening to a recording of it and not catching half the plot because, omg, angry!jealous!Othello's ranting and constant, "RAWRAWRAWR," gets on my nerves. I'm really starting to like Iago a lot better (and not just because I have made him voiced by David Tennant in my mind), because he at least exhibits the use of his brain.

Probably should declare hiatus over at np_hogwarts until the quarter's over as well, though I know that as soon as I do that I'll be wanting to thread all the time. Or something. Sigh.

I'm just... feeling drained. And angry with myself, because I don't really do any work when I get home at the end of the day. I tell myself I'm going to, I make all these plans to, but then I get home, and I just want to collapse and not thing or work or anything. I tell myself one hour of goof-off time, then two hours, and the next thing I know it's 11:30 at night and I have to be up at 7:30 the next day and if I don't get at least seven hours of sleep at night, I kinda fail to operate the next day.

Long and short... This is me giving myself a mental pounding and forcing me to get my lazy rear in gear. Gonna try to do the Good Work Ethic thing for once. Probably won't work, but I'm hoping it will. If it doesn't, I don't think I'll really be able to deal with myself :\

On a lighter note, I finally got Falstaff traded in for a working iPod over at the Promenade Apple store last night, and now am the proud owner of one Benvolio. My adventures in Santa Monica were interesting ones - someday I shall regale y'all with tales of the Designers Who Forgot the Existence of Female Thighs.

add, me, np, school, dw, stress
