My birthday is sneaking up on me QUICK this year. March 9th. I feel like I'm getting so old and the years just don't stop moving. I remember being 15 years old back in high school and wishing the hands of time would fly by until the day I was 18 and liberated. You know the old saying, "be careful what you wish for". I'm getting to that point now where I'd rather not mention my age and that's a SCARY thing. "I'm 20 years old and holding". Yeah...that's it. But seriously, 27 years old...looking in the mirror, I look young and full of life, but deep down inside I'm aching and worn down. Such a strange irony.

The day after my birthday, March 10, I must pay a visit to Dr. Ozog for another assessment of my back problems. This time we'll discuss my appointment with the specialist and what will eventually lead to spinal surgery, physical therapy and lots of rest. Helluva birthday present, right?

Waiting on my tax return to arrive, which is a good thing. I'm only getting back a refund for the time I worked up until July 28, since my world of problems began on July 29th with me in intensive care. I now realize how lucky I was to make so much damn money at my job, because my tax returns are of considerable size for only being worth a half of the year.

Still trying to gain weight. I think I'm leveled off where I'm at. I'm up about 33 pounds since August, but gaining even a single pound now is very difficult. I'm just eating, eating, eating, eating and downing about 5,000 calories in protein drinks daily. Due to the back problems I can't exactly work out for the time being, but I'm not looking to sculpt muscle anyway-- just add on pounds. I don't care if I start to look chunky (never happen), I can shape it out later, just as long as I can get some fucking weight on. My six-pack is back though, which is awesome. Not sure how that happened without doing a single sit-up or crunch.

Going to Ring of Honor on March 30 with Dick Derringer, Scott Random and NFW. Front row, courtesy of Henry (thanks again, Hen). So far the card looks pretty nice. I'm not too familiar with the Dragon Gate crew, but I'll be watching the first Dragon Gate Invasion dvd pretty soon to check out CIMA. I'm looking forward to the Joe vs. Daniels grudge match and of course 'Cide vs. Cabana, falls count anywhere. Hopefully IWR's own CK3 will get another shot to wrestle on this show. I really think working for ROH in Detroit would do wonders in getting Gabe to really notice CK's talent and charm. The MI crowd knows CK, so the heat on him would be great.

In April the IWR will be back in action with "RISE ABOVE". We're still working out the kinks on the date, but the show will take place at the Crossroads in Riverview. The Fourth Anniversary show last week was an overwhelming success, so I am really looking forward to seeing what we can do with IWR: Rise Above.

Of course we've also got Revolucha 3 going down on May 6th in Detroit. The lineup for this one is incredible so far, starring: LA Park, Christopher Daniels, Sabu, Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, Dr. Wagner Jr., Delirious, POD, The Bump-N-Uglies, The Wyld Stallyns, Conrad Kennedy III w/Alex Cain, Truth Martini, Eddie Venom, N8 Mattson and more. PLUS, we're negotiating for one more major lucha libre star, one of the hottest attractions working in Mexico today. That's right, Revolucha 3: Featuring stars from WWE, WCW, ECW, TNA, ROH, CMLL, AAA, IWR and the top indie stars in Michigan all under ONE roof!

The latest edition in my series of Shooting the Sh*t with Showtime interviews is coming along great, this time featuring the IWR's own "Dynamic" Josh Movado of the Bump-N-Uglies. We should be finishing this one up for release in the coming week. I've just signed on another subject for the SSS series, Michigan Wrestling's photographic historian Leonard "The Griz" Brand. That should turn out to be a very insightful interview. To read the previous interviews in the series, check out http://www.IWRwrestling.com/sss.htm.

That about covers it for this entry. Until later, same Show-time, same damn journal.
