It's a funny old world (and I guess no news is better than bad news)

I've had quite a busy morning - been doing some beta-reading and some writing and some *gasps* homework. We didn't make it to the beach this morning :( I'm taking some notes on 'The Great Gatsby' at the moment and then I'm going to start working on some Jeff'/ Jensen fics because it's only two days (I think) until the comment meme that mysticwaters is running (check it out if you haven't already) closes for fills and there are at least two more prompts that I want to write.
Speaking of comment memes, I've had sort of an idea for one that I would really like to do but I have a) no artistic talents whatsoever with regards to making banners etc and b) no experience whatsoever at running one so if anyone who does is up for helping me, I'd appreciate it.
One of my RL friends now loves SPN :D *is happy* Anyway, she's still working her way through season four and it's all exciting and I can't wait to meet up with her and talk about it. And it's all happy because she's now aware of how awesome Jensen and Jared are and it's making me feel all squeeful about them today.
Still no news on the whole thing-front. It'll be tomorrow before we know anything. It's horrible having it hanging over us and I hate the fact that there's nothing anyone can do at weekends. We've been talking though about ways we might be able to cut down on spending if we need to (which isn't really fair because we shouldn't have to suffer for them but that's the way it looks like it's going.)
From a really selfish point of view (although I wasn't the one who first pointed this out, my Mum did), it couldn't have come at a worse time for me. My 18th birthday is in April and it's looking like it's not going to be quite as special after all :( It's just really annoying because for the past few years my auntie etc have kept living as though they had more money than they actually did and it's US who are now having to be sensible and cut back on spending.
Man, I promised myself I wasn't going to rant in this post. Sorry!
