Each Sunday, post six sentences from a writing project - published, submitted, in progress, for your cat - whatever.
1. (TEEN WOLF)
“You’d have more chance of being asleep if you were actually in your bed, with the light out. That’s all I’m saying. Try.”
His dad leaves, pulling the bedroom door shut behind him, and Stiles sighs, rubbing at his eyes. It’s not as easy as just trying when he can’t switch his mind off.
“He’s right, you know.”
“Jesus.” Stiles jumps, almost falling out of his chair, and spins around to glare at Derek, who is currently climbing in though his window. “I thought we covered the whole no entry to my bedroom through my window thing months ago.”
2. (SHELTER)
Zach watches his sister drive away, eyes on the truck until it disappears from view, and the whole time there’s still a part of him convinced that it’ll turn back around and she’ll realise the mistake she’s making. It isn’t that he doesn’t know what Jeanne is like; she’s shirked her responsibilities long enough. It isn’t that he doesn’t want Cody to stay with him, either, because he loves Cody. It’s just that he hasn’t got an awful lot of family left and, as he watches the truck move off into the distance, it feels like he’s losing one more person - and if he feels like that, Cody must feel ten times worse.
