Title: Quinn
Fandom: Leverage
Characters: Parker, Quinn, Nate
Summary: Parker isn't sure what to think of Quinn
Word count: 500
Points value: 5 points

Parker isn’t sure what to think of Quinn when Eliot brings him into the meeting. She’s met Chaos before and knows she doesn’t like him. She knows Archie and Maggie and likes them both. Quinn, though, is a new entity and the only thing she actually knows about him is that he once tried to hurt Eliot on Sterling’s orders - it’s not a good first impression.

Eliot thinks they can trust him enough to get their job done with minimum damage, but Parker doesn’t trust easily. Quinn is as dangerous as Eliot, maybe - almost certainly - more so because he doesn’t have the same loyalty to them as Eliot does. More than that, Quinn seems to find everything either amusing or irritating, with no in-between, and Parker isn’t sure she likes that because it reminds her too much of herself, and she definitely can be dangerous. Combine that quality with Quinn’s sheer strength, and Parker feels very uneasy.

After it’s done, and Dubenich and Latimer are gone, Eliot makes no secret of the fact he keeps in touch with Quinn every so often. Parker’s definitely not sure what to think of that, but she doesn’t say anything to him because it’s not her place, and it’s not like it’s strange for Eliot to have buddies he keeps up with. She feels the need to talk to someone, though, because she feels unsettled by it.

“Maybe Eliot thinks Quinn will be useful in the future,” Nate says, when she approaches him about it. “He’s a talented hitter with lots of connections - it’s no different to you keeping in touch with Craig Mattingly, or Sophie with Tara.”

“But that’s different.” Parker moves the newspaper that Nate is reading away from him so she can have his full attention. “Sophie knows Tara, and Craig is with Tara. Quinn - Quinn is dangerous.”

“Most people would say that about Eliot.”

She thinks for a moment. It’s probably true. “But we know Eliot. He won’t hurt us.”

“Well, maybe Eliot wants to know Quinn,” says Nate. “Look, Parker, Eliot puts our safety above everything else - he knows what he’s doing.”

“But why is he doing it?” Eliot already has a lot of friends and Parker doesn’t know why he needs more.

Nate sighs, and turns to look at her. “He and Quinn seemed to get on quite well, Quinn’s obviously not averse to helping us out, and it’s good for Eliot to still have ears in the hitter community. Does any of that sound at all illogical to you?”

Parker shakes her head. “No, I guess it sounds smart. I’m just not sure I like Quinn.”

“You don’t have to like him. You just have to let Eliot make up his own mind, and maybe at least give Quinn a chance. He’s not that different to Eliot, really, except that Eliot got a chance with us.”

“A chance,” Parker says, thinking it over, “I think I can manage that.”

Title: Camden
Fandom: Leverage/Teen Wolf
Summary: Quinn hasn't always been Quinn. Once, he had a brother.
Word count according to wordcounttool.net: 506 words
Point value in big bang - 5 points

Camden returns to Beacon Hills with longer hair, a partner by his side, and a different name. He’s called Quinn now, and he’s seen a lot more in his life than he ever thought possible. But his arrival back in town convinces him he hasn’t seen nothing yet, because he walks into the loft where he’s been told his brother is staying and sees Isaac looking…nothing like the kid brother he knew.

Once, he’d heard rumours of werewolves, but he’d chalked it up to too much beer and hitter one-upmanship, because that’s the way people like him roll. This, though, Isaac with amber eyes and a cut on his arm that’s healing even as Quinn watches, is definitely more than a rumour.

Standing next to him, Eliot clears his throat pointedly. “Is there something you want to tell me about your brother?”

Quinn shakes his head as Isaac turns to look at them, eyes widening as they return to the colour Quinn recognises. “I think there’s something he has to tell me first.”

Later, when Isaac has told some of his story and Quinn’s told some of his own, they part for a while with promises to meet again the next day.
Quinn and Eliot head for the hotel they’re checked into - under false names, of course - and Quinn tries to process what he’s learned about his brother.

“I think I met a werewolf once,” Eliot says, handing Quinn a beer. “Luckily he was on my side.”

“I should never have taken the government’s offer. If I’d have just returned home to my family, Isaac wouldn’t-”

“If you’d done that, you wouldn’t be Quinn. ‘Sides, this isn’t a life that suits what ifs - you know that.”

He does know that, but that had never stopped him from wondering what could have been if he’d never accepted a certain job offer from James Sterling, what could be different if Eliot had never needed his help taking down Latimer and Dubenich. And it’s not going to stop him from wondering about his little brother, either.

“Stop thinking,” Eliot says, nudging him in the side. “You’ll hurt yourself.”

“I can’t believe you just made that joke. Ugh, Spencer, that was terrible.”

“I can’t believe your brother has managed to steal your thunder on your big return home.”

Quinn snorts. “Yeah, it’s a lot more unexpected than when we went to visit your old man, isn’t it?

“You could say that,” Eliot grins, “so, your brother is having a problem with some hunters in town?”

Quinn shakes his head. “Not for much longer. Werewolf or not, no-one’s going to pick on my little brother and get away with it. We’ll deal with them tonight, no point dragging it out.”

Eliot nods, and they fall into a comfortable silence. Quinn feels lucky - it’s not every partner who’d accept a werewolf brother so easily, let alone offer to help protect him. Quinn is luckier than Camden ever could have been.
