Leverage Meta

Note: I’m using examples from throughout the seasons here, including recent episodes so watch out for spoilers if you aren’t up to date. There’s quite a lot of references to The Lonely Heart’s Job which makes up for the fact I didn’t do a reaction post for that, I hope. Okay, onto the meta:

Comments? You're awesome?

I love the supporting characters - give me more Sterling, how awesome is Bonnano, yay Peggy and Hurley are back and woohoo more Tara. That's the old once. But there are some new ones that have potential. I'm expecting the CIA guy back and hope for Shelley (please!!!) and I guess at one point Nate will ask that one favor. Is Latimer that guy who wants Nate to work for him? I forgot his name. But yes, all four of them are likely to come back. I don't mind, like at all ;).

I struggle with a lot of episodes this season, so for me the little details are keeping me coming back every week. Which says a lot about my love for Leverage, because I don't think I would keep watching another show just because of the little details and a few scenes per episode.

Fantastic take on Nate and Sophie's relationship. I don't love that one, but I can accept it. And with the exception of the Lonely Hearts episode, they managed to keep this one from being too in your face. Feed me some Nate/Sophie/Eliot moments once in a while and I can happily live with this one.

I'm glad you found this interesting and thanks for reading and commenting on it :)

I think Leverage has always done well with it's supporting characters - whether it's the recurring ones or ones that appear in one-off episodes. Archie Leach, for example, only appeared in one episode but he made a big impact, as did Amy in The Two Horse Job.

You see, that's interesting, because I love all the seasons but I personally feel like S4 has been one of the strongest because of the way they've experimented with different formats etc. But then, I don't mind the relationship side of things as much as you do so that makes a difference. The details and little touches have always been and will always be one of my favourite things about the show, though, and they're definitely part of what made me fall in love with it in the first place (aside from Christian Kane, of course!)

I actually have a feeling we're going to get a few Nate/Sophie/Eliot moments after that 'three-way' comment from Parker - there's already been that scene on the balcony and then Sophie's look when Eliot said he had a social life to get on with :)
