Title: One Day in Hell (6/?)
Pairing: Adam/Kris
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Angst, Language
Summary: What really goes on in jail when Adam discovers Kris as new bait and a maze sets them apart?
A/N: I've been really hooked on writing short ficlets and writing the full stories. Got nothing better to do and so completely addicted to writing these, lmao. I usually write out of boredom . . . so, I'm bored obviously. Kind of like the 'Hunger Games' but is definitely different!

Kris did nothing, but looked at him disgusted. "Go to Hell..." he replied.
"Congrats, we are in Hell," the warden responded. Adam just looked at them both, scared to speak. More scared of what Kris would do. "Now, just put down the needle. Everything is going to be fine." He held out his hand for the needle while Kris hesitated. He looked up at Adam, his eyes already dripping with tears.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered. Adam went wide eyed, knowing what would happen next.
"Kris, no!" he shouted. "Kris!"
Adam sprung up from his cell bed, sweating and breathing heavily. "What the...? Oh no," he whispered to himself. He quickly got up from his bed and ran out to the warden's office. He knocked rapidly.
"Lambert? What's the problem?" the warden sighed.
"Kris... is he okay? What happened?"
"Kris? Allen? He's fine... why?"
"He was in the nurses room... he was going to kill himself?"
"Kill himself? My God, what? No, he's back in his cell. You were probably having a nightmare." Adam ran his hands through his hair and shook his head.
"No! He was there with the needle... he... that didn't happen?"
"Lambert, no. He's been in his cell all day. He still hasn't spoken a word to anyone since you've seen him a few days ago. Listen, you've probably suffering from anxiety and stress. Go sleep it off."
"Can I see him? Just to make sure?" he asked anxiously. The warden sighed, then nodded. He walked to lead the way, then turned around before walking out of his office.
"Last time, then no more. It's too risky for you and for him." He proceeded down the hallway and around the corridors, fields, and other areas like the first time. They arrived a few minutes later. "Here you go. Five minutes then get ready to leave for the maze," he said and opened the door for Adam before leaving.
Adam entered the room to see Kris sitting in the corner, playing with his thumbs. His eyes blinked and looked at Adam, he only weakly half smiled. Adam walked across the room and sat next to Kris. "Today is the last day I could see you... I wanted to see you before I go and I don't want to remember you like this. It kills me to see you like this... I will fight my way through just to get back to you." Kris didn't respond but only nodded. "Please, say something..." Adam whispered, his voice raspy. Kris turned to him and pointed to his throat as he shook his head. "Why can't you talk?" he asked. Kris motioned someone punching him in his Adam's Apple. "That's why you were silent. Okay, never mind... I... I love you, Kris."
Just then, the warden came in and took Adam away. Kris still sat on the floor in the corner, fiddling with his thumbs once more. If that was the real reason I couldn't talk... then it would be a whole lot easier, Kris thought.
