Why healthcare in this country is horrible
So as you all know, I've been sick on and off again a lot this summer. A number of you telling me that I have an allergy to Puerto Rico.
On Sunday I wasn't feeling so well with my throat feeling soar. By Monday it got worse and I had a fever so I went to my regular doctor. So I drove to my doctor's office and got a walk up appointment, which ment a 2 hour wait. This isn't bad because its a last minute walk up. Well i went to my dr and he said that i had a bacterial (no strep) growth in my throat, so gave me some medication. I took off Tuesday and Wednesday from work. I had about 1 hour of sleep each those nights. I went to work on Thursday and Friday cause it was less stressful at work than it was at home. By friday thou, my throat nose and ears were killing me more than when i started the medication.
So after going to my dr several times and getting the same problem over and over again, I decided to try and find a nose, throat, and ears dr. Seems simple right? Wrong, I went through a list of 20 drs. The first one I called said sure, come in a month. Next one i called said come in 2 weeks. I was like you know by then I will be a zombie.
So i went through the list more, got a few doctors who said come in on tuesday, which isn't so bad. Finally got one that told me to come in a hour!!!
First thing they did was put this camera up my noes and down my throat. From that he saw that my sinuses were clogged. So now i am on a stronger antibiotic, steroids, will be on flonase for the rest of my life, and convinced him to give me some sleeping aid. If it come back as often as it has, i may need to go for a mri on my sinuses. :( and possible tubes for my ears and may need surgery on the sinuses.
My mom and dad say the reason i keep on getting sick is my dr (who is arab) is poising me.
