The day started out alright. I went as early as possible to the gym considering that I am slacking off. I noticed that there was a yoga class at 10:45 so I stayed all the until lunch and had a well rounded healthfest. After that, I discovered extra discounts when I went to spend my Christmas cash at Ann Taylor. Then I came home to a slew of minor blunders. I had was returning the stuffing to the cushions for our chair and a half, adding a bit extra to offset years of being compressed. We had foam that we purchased for some other home project in the far reaches of the garage. As I was opening the rarely used door I turned my back. When I came back to it, a board that was propped against the door had fallen, bonking the hood of my car. Later, I washed ‘Dry Clean Only’ curtains and spilled a soda on Fox’s no insertion force something or others. After years of practice, I no longer get too upset about these kinds of days, I just ride it out... getting worked up over it just increases the risk of limb loss.
So, my last task of the night is going to be along the lines of no physical activity... I am going to be recording all of my wallet information, including where to call if cards are lost. I was going through a large pile of reading material and found a reminder from Discover card to store such information. I have been using
SplashID for this purpose for years but have not bothered updating this stuff in particular. The new year is a fine time, i suppose. What I have typically updated though is web logins. I have a habit of creating really good passwords.
No progress on the hp mini note setup today. I have some unedited back entries over the last few days about that and the rest of the goings on but I will have to get them later. Folks may have noticed that I have been editing and pushing out old entries... not sure how that shows up on friends lists and rss.
The raw silk curtains (honestly, I had no idea that they were so fine) are back up on the windows. Shorter by a few inches (gratefully in fact) and wrinkley even after ironing. They came out of the dryer looking like they had been wrung like a sponge, so I guess that’s alright. Because of how high we had placed the drapery rods ( we had something else up there before), they dragged on the ground. I could chalk this up as successful planning, but I think I will just quietly let them be and do it right next time.
