Random bits of today (because I haven't written nearly enough lists lately):
- I suffered a glancing blow to one of my toes last night when I assaulted the armaoire.
- I decided that I wouldn't then leave my desk for my regularly scheduled floor time which would have put me uncomfortably in real shoes.
- A random nubby that you find on the bottom of things so they don't scratch up surfaces migrated in with me to work recently.
- They rerouted IH-10 through part of town and it is so narrow and steep that it will take a while before the regular commuters will get used to it... so slow.
- I am making the most of my extended drive home by listening to internet radio on my Nokia 770 (gadget love!) which I still haven't really put up my posts about because I am still one of the biggest lj slackers lately.
- Speaking of lj, my style is broken again... wish i knew why that happens. I wasn't playing with it, honest!
- I take pride in remaining in a cordial relationship with someone at the company that most of the people I work with have problems with. I don't so much as defend her usually, but everyone asks for updates on whether we've torn eachother to shreds yet. *shrug*
- You have to learn how to work with people and make their strengths yours.
- I won the food lottery today while shopping at work, taking home four bags. I was going to just goof off, but decided that if I was going to drive to a grocery store during lunch to prevent going out for dinner during the week, I might as will make it worthwhile(and get more than one meal).
- Microsoft Visio is too easy to crash when trying to SAVE a file. This only happened about 20 times today.
- I miss Japanese class.
- The most difficult part of the day was not throwing the xmas dangly feather thing (dangly off the end of a stick) when Pallet dragged it onto my feet this morning, "Shouldn't wake the fox, little guy. Sowwy!"
- For the first time, I witnessed a mockingbird attack a cat. Mooch must have been after the babies. It looked like a pretty fierce battle, but there were no little nestlings to try and save this time. If I wasn't driving out at the time I would have watched further out of semi-morbid curiosity.
