I pretty much spent the whole day reading today. I am so proud of the incredible books I have read this month and I decided, why not make it 5 books instead of 4. So this morning I picked up Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell (quickly becoming one of my favourite writers) and I have to say I devoured this book. The facts, and stats, and incredible viewpoint of this book is absolutely mind blowing. From why the most successful hockey players are born in January, to why steve jobs and bill gates birthday has a lot to do with their success to countless other tidbits of information. This is truly one of those books that I believe should be forced upon the younger generation to read. I sat there stunned after reading it trying to grasp everything I had just learned. It was honestly like someone opening a door to another world. Perhaps I am exaggerating somewhat, but then again, if you haven’t read the book I could be completely right. I finished this book in 5 hours (yay for speed reading) go read it! It’s incredible!!!

3 things I am thankful for today
  1. Being born in January
  2. Having access to all the newest and greatest books
  3. My own little library collection that continues to grow. Just looking at all my books makes me smile. I hope one day I have kids who are as fascinated by reading as I am.
