Today was an interesting day…
I met up with a recruiter from manpower and I have to say I had high hopes. It would have been amazing to go in and walk out with 5 potentials. Nothing wrong with being optimistic right? I had to go all the way to Toronto to see him. Unfortunately I spent more time in transit then with him. Seems that I would be well suited for a ‘sales’ job, and the one thing I don’t want is a sales job. That and a job at the gym! Been there done that. He said he will be in touch (after trying to sell me the sales job), which basically means I will never hear from him again. It’s fine, it was still a good experience. And I think its nice that people think I can sell anything to anyone. I guess I need to continue this job search on my own, and perhaps look into other agencies.
Any suggestions?
Oh also, had a very nice lunch with a good girl friend of mine. Don't see her very often but its always a treat when I do. Got a whole hour with her, weee. Good food and good talks.
In the evening, went out with a bunch of ppl and with someone I haven't been out with since I came back. I had a lot of fun, and it was so nice to spend time with him. Wonder how it was for him?
