As the subject says, I'm looking for more conservative Tumblr blogs to follow! God knows I'm sick of seeing Obama-llama's face on my dashboard (the amount of fangirling over him on there makes me ill sometimes

Seconded like woah. It's like a minefield on tumblr when it comes to politics. I hate how often extreme left-wing posts just pop up in the middle of everyday things. I've seen insane hard-core socialist posts with tens of thousands of notes reblogged by people and it just makes me want to scream. Which means I have to get off tumblr.

Basically, I could use the same things. I'm majorshipper, if anyone's interested (even if all I post is fandomy stuff and 99% Supernatural these days).
I try to keep my politics quiet on mine because of all my buds, but once in a while I have to reply to teh stupid.
I, too, would love some like minded people to follow :) Here you go! I warn you in advance I Talk about Jrock and Dolls, and once in a while I reblog pics of gay couples...
Haha wow, I was JUST thinking about this not ten minutes ago. Luckily most of the people I follow are friends that [generally] are on the same page as I am, but I have a couple blogs I follow that uh...aren't.
As for Tumblr Savior, I myself don't use it, but I believe it only filters out tags? Which sucks and is self-defeating when people don't even USE the proper tags. [Unless they've changed it.]
Haha I'm guilty of not tagging things...mainly because I don't want someone to go tag searching and eat me alive because I casually poked fun at their favorite pairing or something. >_> I'm getting better at it, though.
I'm so creeped out by .gif sets of Obama. Like, it's just a thing that should not happen. And people are like "aw yeah see that's our president isn't he so awesome and hip?" and I'm just like "no. :I". Thankfully most of the blogs I follow are friends or fandom blogs (IE gratuitous_love up there is one of my buds) and politics only pop up from a couple of them. Then things get awkward.
I've actually unfollowed two of my friends because of their incessant posting of politics and lambasting of my views, be it certain conservative ideas I agree with or my religion. Mainly they were all gun-ho during the Occupy Wall Street protests, which I really just wanted to reblog and rant about what amounts to a hipster camping trip but decided not to our of fear of being attacked by the 10,000 other blogs that liked the post.
Tumblr is great for pictures and the like, but as far as opinions, you are better off not finding them. The members there think they're so welcome and open and inviting, but that's only when you agree with them. For me,

I love your T FOR TRUE tag, by the way. Because it is true (people are so easily offended on Tumblr, they need to have a cup of tea or something and seriously calm down about life).
which I really just wanted to reblog and rant about what amounts to a hipster camping trip
Oh my god, Diet Coke. All over my computer. So damn funny and TRUE.
I deleted my Tumblr a couple weeks ago, partly for Lent, and partly because I just couldn't take the ~drama anymore, including but not limited to politics. I used to reblog posts I disagreed with and directly respond to them, but that only resulted in being 1) ignored or 2) being attacked by anons. Then I thought a good compromise would be putting all of my political thoughts under a cut and using a specific tag that I told my followers they were welcome to put on Tumblr savior. I basically made it as hard to read my opinions as possible, and even still, some people would read them and be just SHOCKED to find such controversial opinions! And it's like....I warned you? What exactly did you expect?
TL;DR Deleting Tumblr has been good for my mental health, though I do miss the friends I made there and fandom flailing. Perhaps after Lent I'll go back.
I know exactly where you're coming from. My only hope going into 2012 on tumblr was that I wouldn't have to unfollow anyone for political reasons until after the GOP had a candidate. No such luck I'm afraid.
Sadly, I can't help you. I try to find people who don't post any political things at all. It's far easier than finding open conservatism. Thanks for bringing this up though. It's nice to know none of us are alone in the giant tumblr sea.
