3-team parlay.... I take the Knicks (getting 7 at home in a rivalry game), the Nets (favored by 4.5 against a team whose coach quit out of nowhere last week and is playing without is best player), and the Hornets (getting 11.5 on the road against Portland). I feel pretty good about this, so I lay down $6 - if I win, I get $36 in return.
KNICKS: Lose by 6 in overtime. Covered.
HORNETS: Up by 10; appear to be a lock to at least cover, if not win outright.
NETS: Up 7 with 3 minutes left, end up losing by 1 in overtime. FUCKED.
I was originally going to take the Lakers, too. Then I remembered about Rudy T and I figured the team would be in disarray with him quitting and Kobe being out. That and the Nets have been playing really well lately. They've lost two of their last seven games - and both games they lost, I had money on them.
Will I EVER get a fucking win??????
On a lighter note, I got a fact wrong in my column and a ton of people have called me out on it. I almost took the thing down, I was so mad about it. I am still furious, in fact. Apparently, I'm mentally retarded and can't read.
