Whoo!!
Work was bleh, then we resumed the Saturday Night Poker Tradition by playing in the basement of the one and only Sweet Lou. I ended up breaking even on the night - in the first game, as is customary, I went all-in with a really good hand, Rich K called, and ended up fucking me on the river. I won the second game (only a $5 buy-in, but that's $25 I would have lost otherwise), which might have been the best game I've ever played. Once I had Lou heads-up, I didn't lose a single hand I played. It was incredible. If I had anything, I raised it and Lou would either back off or call, in which case I got what I needed on the flop. To coin a Schiff phrase, it was glorious. Gives me some confidence going into the Big Mike Classic on Thursday.
I'm not so assured about my Fantasy team - Pittsburgh's D laid a big one today, giving me four points. The Steelers' defense has averaged 17 Fantasy points a game, so that's not good. Oh, and I decided to start Hasselbeck over Patrick Ramsey - Ramsey put up 12 points tonight while Hasselbeck's matchup still scares the crap out of me. I HAVE TO WIN THIS GAME. I'm very nervous about it.
After the Jets game tomorrow, I'm taking Cory to the Olive Garden for dinner and we're going to drive around and look at the Christmas lights around the neighborhood afterward. Should be a really great time - provided my team does what it's supposed to do and gives me peace of mind going into the Sunday Night game.
