ugh, just ugh
today sucked royally. i had to fast for my blood work, and by the time we got to the lab that my insurance covers [25 miles away from home] i was so dehydrated they couldn't get anything. they even poked around in my hands [ugh that sucked donkey balls] and one of my veins blewout or something and it still hurts. they ended up just giving me four mini-bottles of water and waited until i got hydrated and then the nurse still had to dig around in my arm until it finally decided to cooperate.
after i got my blood drawn i just felt awful. i hope i'm not getting sick again.
i also saw my dad today. apparently, my puppy [ok, like 9 year old puppy of mine that stays with him because he's close companions with my parent's dog] is not doing so well. he was just diagnosed with diabetes and his blood sugar has remained on the high side. this past weekend, he wouldn't eat at all, so he took him to the vet and his blood sugar was 400. that's seriously bad. they're trying to bring it back under control now. if they can't, they're going to test him again for cushing's disease and if the indicators come back positive all it will take is a pill to help him. last time they tested him, i think one of them came back as a mild case and then the other came back inconclusive, so it was hard to say. i hope they figure everything out, though, i love my baby puppy. :(
that and i've just been really down lately. i'm sick and tired of putting on my "happy face" for everyone so i'm just gonna say fuck it. the seroquel is starting to give me the same undesirable side affect as the zyprexa did, so we're going to have to change meds AGAIN. fortunately i already have an appointment for tomorrow [which is why i had to have my blood work done today] so i'll get to talk to the doctor about that. i'm slightly worried that they may put me in the hospital for observation, because i did self-injure on sunday. not even gonna cover it up, yes i did it and i hate that i did it but you know what i did it and it's done and nothing can be done about it now.
ok, i'm done now. i'm off to enjoy my blueberry tea and lay down.
