(no subject)
The news about the earthquake and following tsunami reached me Friday morning Swedish time and I immediately started contacting the people I know who are in Japan right now. All of my friends are safe, thank god. But this really hit me. It's such a huge catastrophe and I have to admit that it hits more close to home than a lot of other such catastrophes. I guess it's because Japan feels like my second home and just as I would be extra worried about things happening in Sweden, I'm extra worried now. I love how things like help_japan have started up and even though I won't participate in it myself, since I already donated as much as I can to the red cross, I hope others will participate.
I spent all of Friday afternoon/night and Saturday day watching Yokosonews and other stuff to keep myself constantly updated. Yesterday evening I stopped though and now I'm only updating myself every now and then. I needed to just stop watching all of it for a while. And with me being here in Sweden I can do that.
Yesterday night I started distracting myself with Sherlock fics. I've watched Sherlock this past week and OMG it's so damn awesome! Anyone else on my flist who has seen it? *________* Anyways, there is so much awesome fic out there with this amazing canon pairing! ♥ I even changed my default userpic to a Sherlock one! XD I have a two week-trial with paid account and it's making me giddy to being able to have so many userpics. Though it will only last for a few days longer. Fail.
Ok. That's really all. Drinking my tea and getting updated on any news now.
