So yesterday I was at work just doing my thing, standing at my med cart pouring pills. I turned to walk in someones room and I felt my knee pop out of the place it uh was supposed to be. Holy shit I guess I fell on my butt and rolled to the side and started screaming. It was seriously the worst pain I ever felt in my entire life. Thank goodness I didn't fall on the baby. I made quite a scene though, people came running from everywhere and the nurses from the different floors came running and they called 911 and called my Jay who said he'd meet me at the hospital. You could feel where my knee cap (on the right knee) was off to the side of where it should have been. The whole thing was just really really painful. I was lucky it happened at work though, my coworkers were so nice to me, holding my hand and rubbing my back, calling my Jay and getting my stuff. The paramedics were very nice too, they had to immobilize my leg which SUCKED and getting me on the stretcher was fun but they were as gentle as they could be. It's all sorta hazy now but man it seemed like an eternity at the time. Jay and his mom were at the hospital when I got there and then my mom came. The docs decided to put my knee back in but they gave me some morphine first which was nice of them. It didn't hurt as badly when they did that as I thought it would but probably the morphine helped with that. They did an ultrasound of the babe and he/she was okay but they sent me to labor and delivery just to be monitored for a while. Took an x ray of my leg and put this immobilizer thing on it which I guess I have to keep on for a few weeks. Need to follow up with an orthopedist too which is good because all they really said was keep this thing on, that they don't like to give pregnant chicks crutches and heres a script for some vicodin. So i feel sort of like I'm missing something. They kept me in L&D longer than I thought they would, apparently I was having contractions and not feeling them plus the babies heart rate was lower than they like, probably from the morphine. He was moving all over the place though (he or she). They did check to see if I was dilated (not at all which I guess is good). Finally they let us go. My mom had gone and gotten my script filled and Jay stopped on the way home and got us dinner at the Top Diner which was very nice of him. He's taking such amazing care of his poor gimpy wife, I'm the luckiest Tessie ever. I took a vicodin a little while ago and am feeling sorta funny so I think I'll lay down now.
