I'm sitting in the grass right outside the McGill engineering building, typine this on my computer. Stupid me forgot my power cord, so i'm definitally going to run out of juice soon, well in 1h 45 min approx.
Summer has offically ended for me. The last couple of weeks have been cold, so not much activity at the pool, unlike last year, which was right to the end. I still don't know if I'll go backnext year or try to get a "real" job.
I love McGill. It has such a history and reputation, I feel elite coming here, although i'm not really. I have classes everyday at 830, meaning I have to get up at 630 to catch the 720 train and then metro it to McGill. It takes a little less than an hour to get here. I love the train, no traffic, no smelly exaust. I just hate the time. I am soo not a morning person, especially since i was working, the earilest i had to get up was 9. BLAH! The campus is great. Beautiful old buildings. Some of my classes have seating like a 1800's school house benches. But others is this high tech ergonomically designed swival chairs and desks with automatic blinds, white boards, and mics. All for a low low cost of $1200. Excellent. I also found out that I'm perfect for engineering because we have a reputation for partying and drinking beer. I knew all that practice in the summer would pay off! Every friday in the engineering common room we have a keg open from 430-8. I finish fridays at 430. Excellent again.
So I've been talking to Catherine, and she finially realizes that I can't be the same buddy as I was in the summer. Unlike last year, I'm actually going to be doing homework, I have other friends that I visit, and secret appointments that aren't ready to be revealed to her, so she can't just call me up and ask to do something that night, chances are I'm already busy. Plus she says she's not one to make plans in advance, but Shes going to need to if she wants to see me at all this year.
I have to remember who my target audiance is. I'm kinda hesitant to write some things, but who's reading this? Woodstockens (or former), Pam, Caroline... I think that's really it. But now, maybe I'll wait for THAT section untill after this weekend, and seeing whats going on with other people.
I'm off to explore for another 45 min b4 class and find some place to eat lunch. I'm excited to find those little out of the way eateries that charge nothing and are delious.
Ciao
