They posted class rankings finally last week. Some idiot thought it'd be a kick to mess with the list and put like lowest ranking students in the class at the top of the list. Nick was not happy. Snyder cleared it all up really quick. Nick was top ranked, and will be valedictorian. But as much as I don't get it, it's who Nick is, and this ranking thing the valedictorian thing is important to him, he worked hard for it. And someone fucking with that to freak him out was just an asshole~y thing to do. I think I have it narrowed down to who it could have been, when I find out for sure I'm thinking "convincing" Snyder that they don't have enough credits to graduate or something. That would be fair, right?
The guys have the house picking thing narrowed down to two places. Both really cool, both with plenty of space and you know nothing horribly wrong with them that a fresh coat of paint couldn't fix. They don't feel evilish or anything. So if the guys would just you know PICK. They could move on with things here. But I think they're close to deciding. I personally hope they pick the cute white one with blue trim, it just has a happy, cozy feel to it. I haven't said much, cause it's not my house, so I don't think I should get a vote. Yeah I get a room, to put some stuff in, and I'll be hanging out there and stuff, but still it their house, they gotta live there.
I don't know if I've just been working a lot or if I'm in aweird mood cause of all this stuff with everyone leaving and the ickiness of April. But I dunno, something seems weird, off. I can't put my finger on it. I'm thinking maybe I should cut down on things a little. like I have myself spread to thin, and I'm missing something here. There's only a week or two of soccer left, so I went to coach and pulled out of it. That way I have more time. For my friends and for the shop and stuff.
Oh and we hired Benny, so her and Tristan got to learn first hand the joys of the Beltane sale, He has no clue what Beltane is or why people were buying some of the stuff they bought. It was fun explaining to him what Beltane was all about. Though I noticed the guy is like tired as heck, I have walked into the office a bunch of times to find him sleeping. And then the last time I was at the Bronze I saw him doing the bouncer thing still. So hes like doing both jobs, the nut. And here I thought I was burning the candle at both ends. Benny is learning stuff real quickly, and luckily isn't prone to nap on duty. Shes kinda quiet and shy, probably a good thing she was hired on after left, or she would be permanently red. I mean on my worse day I could never say the stuff Anya says. But Benny seem to like being here and does a good job, so go team us for our first hire working out so well.Um not that I had to convince Trisan. He was like do you think we should hire her.
Anyways, I celebrated Beltane by offering to do dinner clean up at home. I packed up all the left overs and took them out in the back yard and left them for the fairy people. I sat otside for a while. Unfortunately, Sunnydale at night and trying to listen for the the fairy queen to ride by on her horse are not two things that can go hand and had. More likely than not you'll meet up with a vamp before a fairy. I got up early on Sunday, before the sun came up and drove over to Millers Woods and picked flowers for May baskets and washed my face in the pre dawn dew. I only wished it had been raining, cause that would have been a good luck thing too.
Took my flowers and stuff and drove to the beach, I know traditionally the fire is supposed to be started with flint or rubbing two stick together but..do I look like a girl scout? I just you know channeled an eensy bit of energy and ignited the sticks, I couldnt find all the sacred woods, cause hey Im not a botanist. But I think its the thought that counts. Then I watched the sunrise as I weaved some flowers into a garland to wear in my hair. I also made up some May Day baskets for Nick, Marcus, Eva and Cristoff. Tristan and well Tatianna, though I don't know where Tatianna lives so I left her basket at Tristans, and since he lives in the same apartment building as Benny I left her one too. They weren't any big deal, just flowers and some treats.
I hope everyone liked them, I had fun putting them together and just it was kind of peaceful. In a way I sorta wish I would have invited Nick to do this with me. But well it's my first Beltane and its a tricky little holiday, considering a lot of its about stuff that if I said hey wanna celebrate one of the three spring fertility holidays with me, he might get the wrong impression. I mean having sex out in nature is a perfectly normal way to observe this particular holiday, and um that would have been cool, but I dunno theres other stuff attached to it and well it would have been weird. Beside like I said I liked the peacefulness of how I spent the morning. Maybe I will ask him to spend Midsummers Night with me.
Of course, after I delivered all my baskets and stuff, I had to go into work and do the post, Beltane sale set up. Tristan was not amused. He's like we have to have another sale? We just had a sale. I'm sorta glad Anya wasn't here to hear that, she might have fainted from his lack of capitalistic spirit. I think he's napping in the back office. He's just so funny. Then again, being up way before dawn and going all day, I should totally wake him up and make him come out here and deal with these customers, while I go take a nap. Crazy cheap people buying stuff they have no clue what it's for but gotta have its cause it's on sale.
