It's been awhile since I have updated my journal and a lot of stuff has actually been happening in my life.

Last weekend was my bachelorette party. It was tons of fun. I really had a great time. It was so nice to spend time with Deb, Kourt, Sarah, and Jess. I got to do lots of things I have never done before and will probably never do again. Among the craziest of the activities was dancing on stage at a gay bar with a gay guy named Ryan. Looking back it is like I am watching someone who was not me. It was soo much fun but normally would have had me completely freaked out. Its amazing what way too much alcohol will convince you to do. I also have a nice reminder of the fun. I fell off the stage while dancing and bruised my leg. Over a week later, it is still an interesting yellow color. Paul was dutifully impressed. We also got to go shopping on Michigan Ave. It was fun. I was mildly disappointed in the two story Victoria's Secret but an awesome lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and clothing deals at Filene's basement more than made up for it. On the last day we were there, Deb and Jess bought us Cinnamon rolls that were soooo yummy. I have been since looking for a recipe and planning to make some myself for at home because I am addicted now that I remember how much I like them. The other new thing I did was go in a sex toy shop. It was an interesting experience. Sarah's level of knowlege was quite impressive. I am pretty sure if I brought most of that stuff home Paul would try to have me committed for mental abnormalities :)

Friday marked 100 days to the wedding. Lots of awesome stuff has been happening on that front. Paul's parents have offered to help pay for the reception which is sooo awesome of them. It means an upgrade to an full open bar with much better liquor as well as the possibility of some appetizers although that part is not quite decided. We have finalized the menu for the wedding. I am glad to have that done. It was stressing me out trying to please everyone. Shawna has been an awesome help with the favors and my ringbearers pillow. She took them to her Aunt's over the weekend to get some help with the sewing. I can't wait until they are finished. They'll be so adorable. Invitations also go delivered. I really love them. They are of an even better quality than I expected for the price we paid. Some time this week I will also be getting my centerpiece candles. Finally, I got an invitation to my bridal shower which I am super excited about. Paul's family has been really great in the plannning of it. I am super excited for it.

Firday was also the day that Paul came to visit for the weeekend. Like always, the visit was much too short. I am so ready to start living together. We celebrated Valentine's day. Paul got me flowers and season two of Monk. I loved them both. We had a really great time together. We spent Saturday at the Comfort Inn. I had a special to get a whirl pool room for a really great deal. It was super fun. We sat in the whirlpool, drank champagne and watched a pay per view movie. I felt like the rich and famous. We also had dinner/drinks at the Bennigan's. I had this drink that tasted just like an orange dreamcicle. It was soooo yummy. Sunday, we went out to dinner with Shawna and Justin. It was nice. Paul had to leave this morning so now I am feeling a bit down again but looking forward to going out to DC for a week in March. Hopefully the time will go by fast.

Tomorrow, Paul's mom and Grandma will be here. I am going out to lunch with them and Mark. It should be fun. I am going to show them the invitation so hopefully they'll like them. Paul's dad has been working on a reception card with directions so I want them to have an invitation to help with the matching.

This upcoming weekend is also siblings weekend. I am going to spend some time with Paul's brothers. I think it will be fun. I really like his brothers a lot. Deb is also coming for the weekend. I can't wait! Hopefully she won't be too busy to hang out some. Shawna is super excited to see Deb again so I hope we can all get a chance to do something together.
