This is amazing on so many levels. Your Katniss voice is so spot on, and I love the fleshing out you do of Thresh, the way you tap into that question that I think really does sort of hang throughout the books without ever being asked--what IS the life of a career like? Wow, just, wow. Excellent.

You are flawless and so is this fic. Loved the Katniss-voice, and Thresh is so well-characterized. I've always wondered what would have happened if a group of them just refused to fight, and you did it really well. And of course, being me, I loved sympathetic!Cato. Thank you for posting this!

This fic is absolutely brilliant. You are an amazing writer, and your characterization is perfect. I love the storyline you set up here, I love the fact that the four of them were able to connect and put that human connection above everything else, and I love so much that you gave us more of Thresh- I have a lot of feelings about him (and Katniss/Thresh feelings, which this fic intensified and I love you for that).

Still, I want Thresh to live. I want to protect him. I know that he would not accept three deaths for his own life. He will not accept three deaths when two would suffice. For the first time, I think, horrified, I hate Peeta. THIS PART, GAH. I CAN'T EVEN. My hearttttt.

This is an amazing story! Really well done and gripping and I like the overall characterization and tone.
