New Year's.

Pfft.

Like my mom really needs an excuse to get drunk.

Drinking is a rather excellent activity.

Oh, sure, when you're not the one cleaning up vomit.

It is my opinion that one should be skilled at preventing themselves from landing in that unfortunate position.

Sorta hard to prevent when your mom throws up on your feet, yeah?

Who're you?

Hm. Wear more resilient shoes? Or practice jumping out of the way.

Crowley. I don't believe I've met you before.

I'm Japanese. We don't wear shoes in the house. The jumping thing might be smart, though.

Probably not. Urameshi Yuusuke. Spirit Detective.

Yes. Perhaps invest in a trampoline? Those can be effective training tools, as it were.

That's...quite a mouthful. Do you have a shorter name perhaps?

And may I ask what exactly a spirit detective is? I've never quite heard the term before. And I've been around an, er, while.

Heh. I can jump pretty high already. It's the timing that sorta sucks.

Yuusuke's fine, I guess.

It's my job. Fight bad guys and all that. Sorta got roped into it after I died and got brought back to life. My boss is the prince of Reikai, the afterlife. It's sorta complicated.

There must be some sort of aerobics for that sort of thing.

May I call you Y? It's rather easier for me.

I see. Does this qualify you as undead? I hear they have quite the pension plan.

Or there's the good old-fashioned method of ankle weights.

Y? ...Sure. Go ahead.

No, it qualifies me as alive. Botan'd probably know about that pension plan business, though, her being a Grim Reaper and all.

Hadn't considered those.

Thanks, Y. You're ever so kind.

Grim reapers are not people I enjoy socialising with actually, so I'll take your word for it.
