I've had random and intermittent jerks and twitches in my leg muscles for a few days now. I have no idea why. It's certainly not from overdoing the excercise.
This is a half-arsed roundup of the past few days, which seems to be my usual entry style at the moment.
Thursday - had a gig in Watford. Not much to say about that one apart from the crowd weren't really into us (it was a very trendy 'indie' night) and I ended up rather maudlin and pathetic.
Friday morning - decide to sacrifice washing my dirty hair for an extra hour in bed because I'm knackered after a late Thursday night. When dressing, I push work's 'casual' dress code to the limit and pull on a particularly scruffy t-shirt and stained and ripped jeans. Catching sight of my face in the rear view as I pull into the car park at work I realise, from my resplendant blackheads (eww), that I've forgotten to put on any foundation, and last night's eyeliner is looking rather flaky. Not long after settling at my desk, I get a call from reception to say I have visitors. Three tall, handsome, suited and booted German men from our Berlin agency who've come to meet me. And I have to spend all day entertaining them looking like a hobo.
Friday night - went out drinking in St Albans, and then onto grotty club Batchwoods. I think I embarassed everyone with my really awful Michael Jackson dance moves - a lame interpretation of the moonwalk and some very wobbly spins. I just can't take dancing seriously. I don't think anyone should, especially when they're in a place which has been dubbed 'the cheese room'.
Saturday - woke up rather late with a headache, but it was nothing that nurofen and a greasy bacon sandwich couldn't take care of. Took back my new-fangled ionic hairdryer (it made my hair static and frizzy! I'd rather have damaged but non-static hair) and swapped it for a good old fashioned one.
In the evening I went to see 'Hostel'. It was my friend's choice, I would not have seen if I'd known what it was about. I usually love horror films, but this was absolutely the most HORRIFIC film I have ever seen in my life. I think it was because the violence and the victims' fear was so realistic. Plus it had vomiting. I had to spend much of it blocking my ears and peeping through my fingers. I felt very disturbed afterwards and for the whole of Sunday too.
Sunday - got up at 10am (early for me) and spent the day scrubbing and scouring my old aquarium and putting it on ebay.
Today - two people in my team have resigned, one of whom is the big boss. I am afraid that my other boss is after his job, because after six months of complete apathy and neglect of her duties as a manager she's decided that she wants to do appraisals and keeps 'popping round' to see people in HR. Jesus. I need to get out of here sooner rather than later.
I'm due to be going to the cinema tonight with my old housemate, where I will attempt to erase the bad juju of Hostel with a simpering chick flick of her choosing...
