Garth Brooks Unanswered Prayers: CHORUS
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs
That just because he may not answer doesn't mean he don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers
I really feel like this week has proven just that. If my prayer was answered a few months ago, then my whole family would be in Costa Rica right now. Its actually a good thing that we aren't.
Monday my sister complaining about chest pains so she left work and went to the doctors office. They did EKG's and MRI's and all of that stuff and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They gave her pain medicine and told her to get blood drwan the next day, her birthday. My sister woke up MOnday night and said the pain was worse so my mom rushed her to the emergency room. My mom and sister both came home at 11:00 am on Tuesday and had spent 11 hours in the emergency room. The docotr did lots of tests and they think now that she has a bad virus in her chest that is creating all her pain, but they arent positive. After that whole mess I figured everything should be looking up right? No of course not, when the Tucker family has one problem lots more decide its a great time to join.
Wednesday morning I wake up and I call my dog Jake who is laying in the hall to come in my room. I keep callin him, but he wont get up he just looks at me and is screaming in pain making a noise I have never heard him make. So I call my mom in and we get him to get up, he walks outside throws himself to the floor of the deck and screams some more. I rush and get dressed we call the vet and we have to wait 40 minutes before we can take him in. Finally I carry Jake to the car and we got to the vet. I carry him inside and he sits on my lap, he is 55 lbs fyi, the vet take him to a room and says he has ringworm on his nose, which had nothing to do with the pain and he has a hip problem. After figuring out what to do we get him pain pills and set up an appt for x rays bc the vet closed at 2 that day. We get him home and he lays down beside me and he doesnt get up for awhile. Today he is finally moving and he can go down the 3 steps to the backyard. looks like he is doing better.
I also find out today that my dads work has been sold to a new company and they will be in on Monday to tell everyone if they get to keep their job or not. My dad has is pretty well there, his workd pays for a cell phone and gas for his truck they let him use. These new people said they are taking the cell phones, but who knows about the demos and the gas money.
I just can't imagine getting to Costa Rica last Friday and MOnday waking up to my sister having chest pains, where the hell woudl we have gone? Definetly not a doctor there. And when we had gotten back on this saturday finding out about Jake and my dads job, we would have been screwed. Spending all that money on our vacation and not knowing if my dad will have a job come Tuesday. I guess someone really is looking out for us.
