Summary: An attempt to crawl out of my current pit of writer's block, hopefully slightly fulfilling sparksfly7's request for a bit of Iker/Villa which I've certainly sorely missed. :3
He hoped, thought it was David at first. All he saw was the number seven on the back of the baby blue shirt; but then he saw, the too-light hair and the way Muniain held himself that was different, entirely different.
Muniain, who shares his name, who he likes, and who gives him a nervous smile as he passes by.
“You know, I miss him too,” Pepe says, nudging Iker.
Iker exhales, lets his shoulders slump. “It’s so damn…quiet.”
“My ears are too relaxed,” Xavi agrees, and Andres nods, joining in.
Iker smiles. They’d miss him until he was back.

“Say ‘hola’.”
“Hello,” David says, in a what do you think I am, an idiot, tone.
“Say ‘que tál?’”
David hesitates.
Cesc looks smug.
“Howar you?” David squeezes out, accent heavy. Pepe smiles widely.
“Say ‘estoy muy contento’.”
“Ay,” David growls. “Ayam. Ayam very. Ayam very ‘appy.”
Cesc bursts into a fit of giggles.
“That sounded fine,” Iker puts in, defensively.
“It was good,” Pepe says reassuringly, clapping a hand on David’s shoulder. “You’re my star student, Villa.”
David turns to go.
“Okay, you’re good,” Cesc relents quickly. “Say ‘te quiero’.”
David raises an eyebrow. “I love you.”
Cesc beams.
