I figure it’s more than about time for Jessica to have an update on her thoughts or inner workings, life, perhaps write some terrible emo-istic poetry. I've been having this fairly interesting conversation via email with Bill Keller (the evangelist who's convinced and broadcasted that should Bin Laden convert to Christianity, his mortal soul would be saved) ha. I hate the guy.
Personally, I believe in positives and negatives.
In my eyes, religion was created during a time where there were bowels in the streets and women dying of giving birth and people who had nothing needed something to confide in.
Of course, Bill Keller believes this blasphemous, but that's what makes the back and forth so rich. Lemmy get to that inbox.
Art to me is an expression of emotion. A means to make thought tangible, visible, or audible.
Religion provokes emotion, and in turn, beautimous creations are formed.
Religion is a positive. If someone truly believes in something and they can confide in it. As in the thought that all their sins are forgiven, they are going to be happy. And as long as they're happy, what the fuck does it matter should their religion be real or not?
And in that, happy is just a word. An emotion. Anybody truly seeking happiness, and truly willing to believe in SOMETHING, not necessarily religion, will find it. Yet there will always be a void. If you're willing to look, you'll always find something.
I'm adding you to my friends as I've never had a live journal, and yours is the only one I’ve read. If you go over the one post I have. uh. Don't rule me out, ha. Anger gets me writing.
