This is really hard to write. Dave passed away at 3:49am. He looked peaceful and had a small smile on his face. Shortly before he passed his friends and family surrounded him and we said goodbye. He wanted all of you to know how much he appreciated everything. He loved that so many people came to visit him. Please, all of you, keep in touch. I' ( Read more... )

Just found something I wanted to share with you Liz. circiamclaevan May 20 2005, 14:40:26 UTC
There's a song that I sang with my college choir and I thought I'd share it with you now. I've attached a link to the publishers website - just click on the box that says "Listen to a recording" and you can hear a choir sing it.
I've written the words below. I know the music starts out kind of dark, sad & remote, but trust me, it gets better...

Hugs to you and your family. I can't express how sorry I am.

"Sing me to Heaven" by Daniel Gawthrop http://www.dunstanhouse.com/9101.html

"In my heart's sequestered chambers lie truths stripped of poet's gloss.
Words alone are vain and vacant and my heart is mute.
In response to aching silence, memory summons half heard voices And my soul finds primal eloquence...

And wraps me in song... Wraps me in song.
If you would comfort me, sing me a lullaby.
If you would win my heart, sing me a love song.
If you would mourn me and bring me to God, Sing me a requiem. Sing me to Heaven.

Touch in me all love and laughter,
Pain and pleasure. Touch in me
Grief and comfort, love and passion,
Pain and pleasure.

Sing me a lullaby, a love song, a requiem.
Love me. Comfort me. Bring me to God.
Sing me a love song, sing me to heaven..."
