Rivalry with Fenris
...is quite interesting. I liked the dynamic of the friendship route but didn't quite like all the bashing the mages shizz. One of them in particular - Thrask's daughter turning into an abomination and then being defeated by the party, he gave me rivalry points for simply not wanting to tarnish her memory >.>
The rivalry is about the respect of different opinions, that he's got to let that hatred go eventually. There's a certain...I don't know, thing there. With a mage, it feels a whole hell of a lot more real. The only issue I'm having is with romancing a rival Fenfen. I have no idea if I'm doing it right. Last time I got the sash, but this time I didn't and afterwards I got Isabela when I came back to my house. Not that there's anything in particular wrong about that, but I wanted to romance Isabela as a fem!Hawke and possibly in a rivalmance. Been pushing Isa's friendship as my mage so I can complete the Supplier achievement. I think that Fenris is supposed to come back after he leaves, but then I get Isabela. I wonder if it's because I flirted with her that one time (the one not supposed to initiate a romance with Isa) earlier.
I want to try and raise his rivalry higher and then go talk to him again. Maybe I'll save talking to Isabella last too. I don't know. I'm going to try a few things and see what happens.
The only other thing I can think of is that I didn't pick the heart option with Fenris in his first quest. He was more preoccupied with judging me because I was a mage and I don't think it ever came up. Duuuude. You are very lucky I love you so much aiyah >___________>
