Have you noticed that those "hilarious video of scaring strangers around Halloween" never seem to be taking place in areas with Stand Your Ground laws on the books

If you've seen the "Chucky at the bus stop" video, I'm *really* surprised that he didn't get things thrown at him/shot... that seems like a really dangerous thing to do, to come at people with a fake knife at night.
I've not seen any of them; this is the first I've heard of it. But I don't think I want to see a video with Chucky, either.
I'd personally expect either knives or a brick-inside-a-purse, but yeah, night is not the time to go messing with people -- even when you're just walking home, everyone's super cautious about passing other people and people barely even greet each other.
LJ just ate my comment. The keys are sticking on my laptop and Male Housemate didn't switch the TV back to cable which means I'm sitting here in total silence like the grave. I NEED MY TV FOR BACKGROUND NOISE ESPECIALLY IN THE EARLY MORNING!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem.
I'm working 6 days next week because of some kind of computer training I was chosen for, unbeknownst to me, until yesterday.
*hugs* Good luck! Can you switch the TV back? In modern setups there's usually a button on the remote, and in my setup it just involves untwisting the cable wire from the back of the current device (or that device's converter) and moving it to the device you want to use.

I'm maybe halfway through the main tribe, then I still have most of Redemption to read. So far, so good!
Plans for the weekend still include hand-stamping Christmas / $WinterHoliday cards. Beyond that, who knows. :)

And so far I've spent all of it winning Best Daughter points by working in the garden at my Mum's house. Yay, almost summer!!
