kfp_rawr will continue playing the home game. Fortunately, I haven't emphasized the competition aspect to him, so he's not going to be upset about being cut. He was very happy to hear about the positive results his entries got and delighted to know that he'd made some people laugh.

I want to give a shout out to qween394 and her amazing parents, cheshire23 and ravenshrinkery, who are encouraging her creativity. Keep writing!

Oh, I'm glad to hear that KFP will not be upset. It saddened me to see the young ones going out. And I definitely hope they keep creating and writing.

Maybe he will be a future LJ Idol competitor if anyone or someone takes over the duties after Gary's "retirement"

Kids at his age won't understand this until he's older but it was so cool you included him! *grin*

No one is taking over.

If someone takes it upon themselves to try, I will gut them. :)

Good for kfp! I'll definitely be checking into the home game to read his entries. (Also will do the same for qween394 if she posts.)

Thanks! I think her downfall was that she isn't so good at typing yet, so she just couldn't put the words together. I plan to encourage her to homegame.

Glad to hear it! If I were more organised, I would have got S involved....

I'll look for those GR posts, because it's fun to see how an 8-year-old thinks.

Glad that he won't be too heartbroken about the competition aspect! Hope he continues to carry on with the prompts. What an awesome way to get kids into writing.

Of course. It's only the beginning of a lifelong love affair with language for him, I think.

S brought home a book from the library yesterday, about how to write a good story :). I was so proud :D
