I got my entry posted last night, w00t! It's always such a load off getting that monkey off my back, but boy did I have fun with it! =)

My week has been average so far, nothing especially good or bad, just status quo.

I DID IT! I was really starting to wonder there. LOL.

So close is right! But top ten or not, it's such an honor to have made it into the top 14 with such awesome writing peeps. I haz a happy. (Especially now that I'm done with my Idol entry. Heh.) <3

You know, I had a friend stay with me once in college--she slept on the recliner next to my lower bunk. In the morning she told me I had woken her up to ask if she'd found the box with blood in it. I still don't know if she was yanking my chain or not. But Hubby says I talk in my sleep, so maybe. ;)

I swear, summer break got me so spoiled in the LJI department. Juggling Idol with work is all hard and stuff!

I know, right? Fortunately, I got a draft handwritten during my lunch break yesterday, and since my workload was light in the afternoon I got that typed and polished up a bit, then sent it off to my awesome Beta reader, alycewilson, who gave it a once-over for me.

So now it is done, posted, and in the hands of the Gods, be they ever so merciful!

Traded prompts with lrig_rorrim yesterday afternoon, and stayed up until about 1:30 getting the first draft of the story done. What with work and my daughter's birthday taking precedence. *iz brain ded*

It has been utter mayhem at work since I got back from vacation (surprise top-priority project rose up during my absence, OMG you're holding us up! *flog-flog-flog*).

So, definitely a weird week. But not as weird as my story's character will suffer. ;)

Vacations are great, but coming back from them suuuuucks!
