I will read everything on Saturday! That is, unless they want me in early at work. Then I'll read it Sunday! I hope.
I've already read the first few that posted on the page and they were super fine, as always! I just have to reread everything and probably, yaknow, comment on a few of them. or something.
That's how this works, right?
Anyway, time for bed. Need to be up in 8 hours and I'm looking to try and get a full 8 hours of sleep tonight! WISH ME LUCK! :D
Oh and yeah, and also good luck to those in the competition this week! :D
I just got home, haven't had a lot of reading time this week. I haven't much time for anything this week honestly. I just got home and have been out late almost every day this week. Look at me getting a social life!
Two of those nights were with my boyfriend, so I guess it's not very social... But still lovely nonetheless. Then crossfit and more of that tomorrow and maybe Saturday too if we don't end up going to Universal Studios, which could happen thanks to my boyfriend's sister buying us all season's passes for Christmas.
And I still have two books to finish and review and a blog post to write... For being unemployed, I stay busy.
Process? There is suposed to be a process for this sort of thing? I mean beyoud this story is in my head driving me bonkers I better just type it up. Sit down for an hour or two typeing followed by twice as long running the spell check program over it until I think I have all the right spelling of the words in it hopefully at lest all that the !@#$#@ program is capable of finding cause I know someone is bound to point out something it missed.
I have been so lazy with reading, I've only got 23 read so far, but hey, I could have zero! So far I've really enjoyed momebie's entry, the characters seem very real and their back-and-forth dialogue kept me interested the whole time.
I have been slow on reading too, but more because I didn't want to read any until mine was done. But youve read more than me, I've only gotten to 10 so far.
So I have an actual question for everyone. Does anyone else enjoy the process of talking about your writing after writing it? I ask because I really do and I use to have such a person but at the moment do not. And I always really enjoyed taking a moment and through email mostly, going back and forth about the writing experience and what was hard or easy. Not necessarily constructive criticism, although that is welcome. But more from a place of just sharing.
I enjoy it and often have conversations like this in person with java_fiend and through email with a few friends of mine from time to time. I love to talk writing with others.
I think I talk more about it during the process, but I usually still talk about it right afterwards. Generally this means my roommate or my coworker, as I'm great at getting my entry in super last-minute, so generally I hit submit on the comment, double-check the link, and log off to go to work.
This week's was hard for me; I ended up going to five rough drafts before I had something useable. Thankfully one friend pointed me towards realistic rebels (apparently they're not supposed to be polite. Apparently also I should read the news more often), and another volunteered to beta (despite it being last-minute). And I think it did turn out in the end.

Did you have trouble with your idea?
