ok, i've been following this community for a few months but maybe i haven't been paying enough attention. people have to donate money to "compete" in lj idol? where does the money go, just out of curiosity?

It's a "special event". There will probably be one more over the summer. Season 9 will be back to normal.

Because I came in through Second Chance Idol last season, I never actually wrote one of these introductory type thingies. I find that I am exceedingly nervous and feeling quite silly about it. Ah, first post jitters!

I wrote last season under rhetoricians2, though the LJ-proper was rhetoricians. I wonder if anyone from last season remembers me? Either way I am pleased as punch to be back, but nervous!

Hello and welcome to all the new faces!

I've played my share of Idol, but I chose to sit this one out. It'll be nice to read and support my favorites without the stress of competing. I'll be popping in from time to time and I will offer beta reading and content editing for anyone who might want it. I love doing that sort of thing, it's fun for me. So never hesitate to ask.
